In the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park and National Dark Skies Reserve.
No air pollution – located on a no-through road, the only traffic you’ll see is the occasional farm vehicle.
No light pollution – with no street lights, and the nearest inhabited building half a mile away, at night it gets very dark indeed. Bring your telescope to enjoy uninterrupted views of the heavens.
No sound pollution – No sirens, no horns, no mobile phones. Just the wind blowing through the trees, the sound of water crashing over rocks, birdsong and the bleating of sheep and lambs.
No chemical pollution – We take our responsibility for the planet very seriously.
…yet only 15 minutes from the National Rail network.
We confess, it’s not all nature. Local distractions include:
- Abergavenny, home of the ‘Cannes of Food Festivals’
- Crickhowell, the ‘Glittering Jewel of the Vale’
- Llanthony Priory in the Vale of Ewyas, leading through Gospel Pass (the highest road pass in Wales), to
- Hay on Wye, home of the world famous Hay Festival of Literature and the Arts
